From making love to the subway, to well… capturing dreams, welcoming werewolves, and letting roaches into your hair, is what Claudi with her sweet and raspy voice, urges you to in this new self-produced Pinc Louds album: Delancey St. Station.
Starting with the debut of their brand new video for “Babies!”, directed by Courtney Frances Fallon, this Thursday March 22nd, Pinc Louds will have a two hour show at La Esquina, NYC and then on Friday, April 6, 10:00pm, they’ll be on full display at Littlefield (635 Sackett St. Brooklyn, 11217), for a very special album release party with an immersive performance to celebrate the occasion.
$15 will get you admission and a limited edition album designed by Mark Alan Stamaty! $10 will get you into the show. $2.75 will get you a subway ride.
Pinc Louds is the sensational busking cabaret band led by Puerto Rican singer Claudi Love, and as she’d describe them herself: “We’re a band based in the wonderful, glorious, beautiful city of New York and we play in all kinds of venues, rooftops, subway stations… anywhere! Our music is a mix of a lot of things. Some say it’s like Billie Holiday meets the Pixies and hires a mambo group to do backup vocals. And that’s fine with me! Apart from the music, we also have an amazing group of puppeteers, actors and dancers. And with them we do what we call “immersive cabarets” because we make the audience a part of the experience. Anything can happen at a Pinc Louds show! You’ll play with snow! You’ll chant spells to a Watermelon God! You’ll dance with rats inside a giant subway puppet! Because we’re all performers in this life. We’re all part of this wonderful story. And we want you to feel that way at our shows. And after our shows! Definitely after our shows! We want you to remember that there’s magic everywhere. And we don’t want you to ever ever ever forget it”. And if you don’t know Pinc Louds like that, just by simply watching a couple of their YouTube videos you’ll start to notice that all of this is true.
Delancey St. Station was developed over a two-year residency on the Lower East Side’s Delancey St. subway station, and the record pairs together jazz ballads with broken bottles, doo-wop harmonies with drunk phone calls, and punk ditties with public announcements. Throughout the album’s fourteen tracks, Claudi sings a coming-of-gender story, a search for soul, body, and a man called Manuel Hillario.

Delancey St. Station se desarrolló durante una residencia de dos años en el Lower East Side’s Delancey St. subway station, y el álbum aparea baladas jazz con botellas rotas, armonías doo-wop con llamadas de borrachos, y punk ditties con anuncios públicos. A través de las catorce canciones del disco, Claudi canta la historia de un hombre ‘coming-of-gender’, en la búsqueda de su alma y cuerpo, llamado Manuel Hillario.
