¿Qué Está Pasando En Puerto Rico 4 Días Despues de María?
Ayer
A las 12pm había un buque con combustible en trayectoria a chocar entre Salinas y Patillas. Se delegaron unos helicopteros que pudieron atender la situación y detener el buque lleno de combustible y se pudo evitar ese potencial desastre.
Hubo una reunión con los alcades para atender problemas de urgencia y alrededor de 25 alcaldes se pudieron presentar.
Desde ayer ya los choferes han podido comenzar a difundir la gasolina.
Hoy
Solo quedan 9 municipios incomunicados: Aibonito, Jayuya, Lajas, Mayagüez, Quebradillas, Rincón, Sabana Grande, Vieques y Villalba. Ya hay recursos destinados a las distintas areas y hoy se hacen viajes terrestres y aereos para socorrer estas áreas.
Guajataca puede colapsar en cualquier momento, se le continua pidiendo a las personas que residen cerca del río a que desalojen el área. De acuerdo a los expertos, la fisura de la represa es grande y colapsará en cualquier momento. Hoy más tarde se discutirán los pasos a tomar para las acciones que se pueden tomar en dicho escenario.

En el Sur: total devastamiento, y multiples daños a las torres de transmisión, aunque al momento no hay necesidad de desalojo del área.
Ya se han comenzado los esfuerzos para transportar el combustible, y se han identificados los choferes que lo trabajaran, en colaboración con los alcaldes para distribuirlo a los diferentes municipios, a través de los 20 camiones que se distribuiran a los alcaldes para que logren abastecimiento, ya que HAY abasto de gasolina y diesel.
Hoy se comienzan los procesos de reparo de las telecomunicaciones.
La Junta de Calidad Ambiental comunicó que pronto envirán instrucciones de cómo resolver asuntos importantes cómo:
Cuáles serán los centros de acopio para los escombros.
Cómo poder enterrar animals fallecidos pra proteger la salud pública.
Y se reitera la prohibición del uso de generadores dentro de las casas. Ni intentar empatar a cables que pueden causar la muerte de los trabajadores de la energía eléctrica.

Lanchas de Culebra ya operan desde ayer y hoy continuan de 6am a 6pm.
Una de las misiones de hoy es llevar recursos a Vieques. Se comenzará con 5 del total de 12 zonas a las cuales inicialmente se les suplirán artículos de primera necesidad y comida, y será a: Ceiba, Bayamón, Aguadilla, Carolina (Canóvanas), y Ponce.
Refugios: Algunos incomunicados, y a otros ya se encaminan distribución de comida y recursos.
La Cruz Roja ha estado trabajando en 12 municipios para hacer llegar recursos.
Ayer llegaron los primero cargamentos de FEMA:

15 helicópteros trabajando operaciones de rescate y observando infraestructuras críticas
Adelanto de 1.2 millones de dólares de FEMA ya llegaron, si los alcaldes traen las certifaciones de los gastos ya FEMA puede empezar a desembolsarles.

El Centro Médico de Mayagüez está a capacidad. Se está enviando una unidad móbil, pero sí se hace un llamado a personal (doctores, enfermeros, etc…) a proveer ayuda.
El gobernador reiteró que los ciudadanos que reportan a través de las redes sociales, la necesidad de combustible en hospitals o asilos, deben reportarlo al Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias (COE) al 787-725-7034.

Yesterday
At 12pm there was a ship with gasoline in its way to crash and hit ground between Salinas and Patillas. Several helicopters were sent its way and the potential disaster could be avoided.
There was a meeting with mayors to attend urgent problems, and around 25 mayors were present.
Since yesterday chauffeurs have been able to start distributing the gasoline through the Island.
Today
There are only 9 municipalities left without communication: Aibonito, Jayuya, Lajas, Mayagüez, Quebradillas, Rincón, Sabana Grande, Vieques, and Villalba. There are already resources headed to the different zones through land and air.
Guajataca can collapse at any moment, it is STILL asked to the residents near the river to EVICT NOW the area. According to the experts, the fissure at the dam is big and can collapse anytime now. Today later, the steps to take if said disaster occurs, will be notified.

In the South: Total devastation, and multiple damages to the towers of transmission, even though there is no need yet to evict the area.
Efforts to transport combustion have started, and the designated chauffeurs have been identified, in collaboration with the mayors to distribute to the different municipalities, through the 20 trucks that’ll be distributed to the mayors to achieve provision, because there are enough combustion provisions.

The Environmental Quality Board communicated that soon they’ll send instructions on how resolve the following pressing issues:

And they keep stressing that is PROHIBITED to use generators inside homes. Neither as improperly connect them to cables that can cause the death of the electrical workers.

One of the missions of today is taking resources to Vieques. Starting with 5 of the total 12 heavily affected zones that will receive items of first necessity and food: Ceiba, Bayamón, Aguadilla, Carolina (Canóvanas), and Ponce.
Refugees: Some remain without communication, and others already have food and resources their way. The ones isolated, will be receiving double the resources.
The Red Cross has been working in 12 municipalities to send resources.

A FEMA 1.2 million dollars monetary advance arrived, and if the mayors bring the certifications of the damages, they can start to get reimbursed.
Government is one documentation away to activate the curfew’s Peace Officers.
Help, Relief, and Important Information:
Mayagüez Medical Center is full at capacity. A mobile unit is being sent their way, but the Governor makes a call to all available personnel (doctors, nurses, etc…) to provide help.
The Governor reassessed that citizens that report through social media, combustion needs for hospitals or asylums, must report it the Center of Emergency Operations (COE) at 787-725-7034.
