El colectivo Kiik Create se prepara para una segunda apertura de su más reciente exploración en las artes visuales “Enter the Vortex”. La misma se llevará a cabo el próximo jueves 1 de diciembre a las 6pm en la galería y espacio de arte y diseño independiente C787Studios.
Enter the vortex (entra al vórtice), es la instalación interactiva de un mural personalizado a la estructura del interior de C787 Studios. Esta exhibición es una evolución de Kiik Create en su exploración del espacio a través del color. Es lo último en su serie de murales/portales utilizando la geometría y colores vivos para generar diseños visuales cautivadores que representan sus vibraciones energéticas. Durante el evento, el mural/instalación y tres obras en lienzo midiendo 64" x 82" que cuelgan dentro y entre la instalación, se transforman en una experiencia visual y sonora, asistida por proyecciones lumínicas sincronizadas a música original compuesta por el productor Overlord.
Estas obras relatan la idea de las dimensiones convergentes de la realidad, o planos paralelos entrelazados. Sobre la intención detrás de su trabajo, el colectivo expresó: "Nosotros creamos esas obras con un propósito transformativo y a la vez edificante. Las vemos como puertas o pasarelas que te invitan a repensar el espacio más allá de tu entorno y realidad cotidiana. Enter the Vortex es una propuesta de realidad alterna donde el poder del color y diseño puedan ser sentidos como una fuerza física y visceral. Las dimensiones de la galería se transforman en un cosmos que consume a la arquitectura y al espectador.”

KIIK CREATE REOPENS IMMERSIVE ART INSTALLATION “ENTER THE VORTEX”
The artist duo Kiik Create prepare for a second showing of their newest visual arts exploration “Enter the Vortex” opening the Thursday December 1, 2016, at the alternative art and design space in Santurce, C787STUDIOS.
Enter the vortex is an invitation for contact, a firsthand look inside a KiiK Create portal installation and their most recent color-saturated works on canvas. During the event, the mural becomes a multimedia viewing experience with projected light mapping that syncs to an original soundtrack scored by musician and producer Overlord.
When asked about the intent behind their work, the artist duo declared "We create these works to be uplifting and transformative. We want them to activate their surroundings and become attractors that radiate instant energy. We see them as gateways to transport the viewer beyond the everyday”. This exhibition is a continuation of their exploration of space through color. It is the latest in their series of Portal murals that use geometry and vivid colors to generate captivating visual designs meant to signify higher vibrational energies. They have transformed the gallery into a mural space that completely envelopes the viewer. A series of large canvases that are hung inside the mural are layered with overlapping biomorphic abstractions and patterns in vivid contrasting colors, further depicting the idea of converging dimensions of reality or entangled parallel worlds.
