Rafael Díaz

Plastic & Visual Arts

My name is Rafael Día Rivera (1982). My studies are in Art History and Sculpture from the University of Puerto Rico at Rio Piedras. I have written for several platforms among them Matte Magazine. I worked as an educator at the Museum of Art of Puerto Rico, and currently have my project R Woodworks stablished in Santurce. I'm passionate about plastic arts, architecture, the kitchen and books. My work or artistic proposal respond to the creation of sculptures and industrial design with materials I find in the streets and that, in some way or another, their story invites me to keep making history on it... from there comes out the industrial design objects. The material speaks to me so I can know what it wants to be.
